Ideas, images, tasks and appointments – the lists
of what I want to accomplish on a daily basis is usually quite
enormous. When I provide myself with the magical opportunity to
relish my artistic passions with jeweler’s tool, paintbrush, camera
or pen in hand, I allow myself the moment to slip away from the
responsibilities of life and simply create… My desire is that you
enjoy my work as much as I have delighted in its evolution.
Jane is a jewelry designer, painter and photographer. She has recently been
integrating her love of various materials including vintage findings, semi-precious
stones, paint, beads, polymer, fabrics and found natural and man-made objects
transforming them into necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings and pocketbooks. "I
have always relished the opportunity to take an item and alter its usage into
something entirely different from its original intent. At this stage of life,
I believe that anything goes!"
Jane’s works can be found at the Lawrenceville Main Street Artists Network in
Lawrenceville, New Jersey and A La Mode in Ewing, New Jersey. Summer 2010, Jane’s
works were displayed at the Upstairs Gallery, Peddler’s Village, Lahaska, Pennsylvania.
Formerly, Jane Zamost was the Senior Vice President of Projects In Knowledge,
Inc., a medical communications company, of which she left her position in 1996
to become a full-time mother of four. Jane graduated from Rutgers College, Rutgers
University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Her areas of concentration were Fine
Arts and Communications. While there, Jane also studied at Mason Gross School
of the Arts and during her junior year in college at The Sir John Cass School
of Art and The London Polytechnic in London, England. In recent years, Jane has
furthered her knowledge of the arts under the tutelage of John Ennis, Ty Hodanish,
Kate Appel and Greg Marra.
