Nancy Troskenancy@nancytroskejewelry.com Nancy received her BFA in 1973 and continued her jewelry education at the “Jewellery Workshop & Gallery” in NYC under the instruction of Fredricka Kulicke and Joseph English. She taught jewelry making at her home studio until moving to San Francisco in 1979. Nancy continued her education at the California College of Arts and Crafts and at the Revere Academy of Goldsmithing (now the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts.) At the same time she was head bench jeweler in the repair and custom design department for a well known retail jewelry store in the San Francisco Bay Area. She also taught jewelry making at a local crafts center. Most of Nancy's pieces are limited edition or one of a kind. She hand fabricates all aspects of a piece, including the chains and clasps. Each cloisonne enamel is a minature painting set in a silver or gold setting. Her copper pieces involve drawing designs in pre-fired porcelain enamel which is then fired several times with layers of overlapping transparent colors. Nancy now lives and works in Princeton, NJ. She teaches jewelry making at the the Lawrenceville Main Street Artists Network Gallery,West Windsor Arts Center and gives private instruction in her home studio.
