Tamara's former career included years spent as an art director and/or contributing designer for companies such as: Lenox, Kate Spade, Tiffany & Co., Waterford/Wedgewood, Williams- Sonoma, Food Network and Target to name a few. After dusting off an ancient sewing machine and creating some holiday monster dolls for family and friends, our home was soon over run by lovable quirky monsters and Buttonhedz was born. Buttonhedz is committed to reduce, reuse and recycle. The concept at the core of all our products is to breathe life into discarded items. By definition, each item is unique.

It is a rebellion against the disposable nature of our consumer products. In a world that sometimes seems to spin too rapidly we’ve created a product line that makes people smile, that makes kids use their imaginations without lights, monitors and sound chips etc.

Our hats, dolls, shirts and accessories probably will not change the world, erase avarice and greed or end world hunger, but we donate a portion of our proceeds (and give away box loads of dolls and hats) to needy children at holiday time in an effort to add smiles and warmth to those who could use it. Let us all be thankful for the happy, healthy children (of all ages) in our lives.
