Who we are, What we do, and How You Can Participate

The Lawrenceville Main Street (LMS) Artists Network Gallery is a not-for-profit cooperative art space established, supported and operated by local artists and its members. It is organized under the auspices of Lawrenceville Main Street, a not-for-profit organization located at 16 Phillips Ave., Lawrenceville NJ. The Gallery is located at 2683 Main Street.

Membership dues help to ensure that the LMS Artists Network can operate and maintain over 900 square feet of inviting gallery space, and be able to provide enriching educational programs for children and adults, provide art related seminars for members, and offer festive monthly art receptions open to the public. Membership provides an opportunity to participate in all these activities.

Becoming a member of the Artists Network helps provide the financial resources for providing a venue and opportunity for artists to exhibit and sell their works. Additionally, the Artists Network enriches the community in general by offering classes, seminars and social gatherings that revolve around arts-related topics.

The mission of the Lawrenceville Main Street Artists Network is accomplished through:

• Providing opportunities for local artists to continue their artistic journey through advocacy, education and outreach, including but not limited to, the opportunity to display and sell their artwork as members in the Artists Network cooperative gallery as well as reaching out to the community through art education;

• Promoting arts appreciation and support through cooperative endeavors between local artists and arts organizations;

• Encouraging creative exploration by people of all ages through art classes and workshops;

• Enriching community life through art receptions and special events, thereby serving as a catalyst to engage all in artistic exploration and appreciation;

• Enhancing the cultural identity of the local community and actively supporting local businesses and charitable organizations, and

• Contributing to the greater Lawrenceville Community by working as a group to support community and non-profit charitable events.

Different classes of membership exist. They are the Gallery Membership, the Network Artist Membership and the Supporting Membership, and Patron—each of which serve a separate function. Click on each to see descriptions of these membership catagories.
